South West Hertfordshire CLP is fully committed to and applies the Labour Party’s policy and guidelines for safeguarding children and adults at risk .
If you have any safeguarding concerns you will find instructions for reporting your concerns on the Labour Party website. Any concerns should be reported immediately or within 24 hours. If any person is at immediate risk of harm or requires medical attention, emergency services should be contacted immediately by telephoning 999.
The Labour Party has a dedicated Safeguarding Unit headed up by experienced staff. There is also a Regional Safeguarding Officer and, although there is no requirement to have a Safeguarding Officer in the CLP, our Women’s Officer, Julie Wakely can be contacted if you have any general queries or concerns about safeguarding in our CLP womensofficerswhlabour@btinternet.com Please note that if you have a specific concern about an individual you MUST report it immediately through official channels, as described above.
